Questembert
Questembert ( Breton: Kistreberzh ) is a commune with 7464 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region, about 21 km from Vannes. Questembert is the capital of the canton of the same name.
Location
Questembert located in the southwest of the department of Morbihan in the interior, about 13 km from the coast. Neighboring municipalities are (clockwise): Noyal -Muzillac in the south, Berric, Sulniac and La Vraie -Croix in the West, Larré, Molac and Pluherlin in the north, as well as Malansac and Limerzel in the east.

History
In the year 888 the battle of Questembert took place in the municipality, in the king Alain I the Great, together with the Count of Rennes Judicael defeated the Normans.

Approx. 5 % of the working population is employed in agriculture. Another 20% are in the industry, and about 13 % in the construction industry busy. Approx. 38% of workers are employed in the service sector and the remaining 25% in the public sector including healthcare and social institutions.
The economy Questemberts consists mainly of small businesses. In 2009, only 9 companies (or about 1.5 %) had more than 50 employees. Furthermore, more than 50% of the local farms belonged to the service sector, as well as about 15 % of the construction industry or the industry.
Traffic
Questembert (more precisely: the district of Bel- Air) is located on the D 775, which leads from Vannes to Redon.
Furthermore, the railway from Paris to Quimper leads by the municipality Questembert. The station is located in the district of Questembert Bel -Air. Here the trains SNCF Vannes- Redon.
The nearest airports are approximately 90-100 km and are located in Rennes, Lorient and Nantes.
In the district of Bel-Air, the current south end of the long-distance cycle route from Saint- Malo is located on the peninsula Rhuys.
Attractions
Today, 56 m long and 16 m wide market hall was built in 1675 of oak. The hall consists of a single nave with cross braces 17. The Vorläuferbau the hall dates from 1552.
