Quevedo is a city in the province of Los Ríos in the middle of Ecuador with 119 436 (S 2008) inhabitants.

Quevedo is located 240 km southwest of the capital Quito and 190 km north- northeast of Guayaquil. The port of Manta, on the Pacific coast can be reached in about an hour on the National Road 40.

The growing city is located in a climatically favorable zone of the coastal plain. The main economic activities of the region as the city are agriculture and food production. Major revenue sources are bananas, coffee and cocoa.
