The airfield Ras Lanuf (English: Ras Lanuf Airport ) is an airport in Libya.

Location

The airport is located 200 km south-east of Surt on the Mediterranean coast. The airport area is located immediately southwest of Ras Lanuf ( Munizip Surt ) on the road from Sirte after Brega (Al Burayqah ).

History

In the second world war, the airfield was used under the name Hamraiet Airfield from the 57th Fighter Group of the U.S. Air Force.

The non-directional beacon ( NDB ) of the airport is transmitting on the frequency 385 kHz with the registration VR. The local magnetic declination is 2 ° East.
