Raa-Besenbek

Raa Besenbek is a municipality in the district of Pinneberg, in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Raa Besenbek belongs to the Official Elmshorn -Land. The municipality borders on Elmshorn, from which it is separated by the Krückau.

The district is located in Raa the Elbmarschen, the district Besenbek predominantly in the Geest. According to the houses in Raa along a flood protection walls are built on mounds. In the southwest of the village on the Krückau is the district Spiekerhörn. The since 1938 to Raa Besenbek belonging district was formerly a Gebietsenklave Elmshorns. Previously, the Krückau was only up here, at the promontory ( horn ) at Spieker (memory), navigable.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the municipal election 2008, five seats and the voter community WG four.
