Geography
Rabenstein / Flaming is located in the upper valley of the Plane and in their headwaters. Through the community territory, the Federal Highway 9 runs - there is a connection with the junction Klein Marzehns. Over several highways and county roads the municipality with Bad Belzig, Niemegk, Wittenberg and Meadow castle is connected.
In the town, lying entirely in the nature park Hoher Flaming, there are several nature reserves.

History
Incorporations
The municipality was created on 1 July 2002 from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Buchholz at Niemegk, Garrey, United Marzehns, Small Marzehns, ravens and Rädigke.

Attractions
The main attractions in Rabenstein / Flaming are in the district of ravens Rabenstein Castle, the Nature Centre of the High Flämings " Old Distillery " and the so-called million bridge between ravens Rädigke and small Marzehns. There are also several hamlets in beautiful medieval stone churches.
