Radio Nord

Radio Nord was the second commercial radio station in Sweden. He was operated on 8 March 1961 to June 20, 1962.

Transmitting station was the boat MS Bon Jour, which was in international waters, the operator of the station was the Finnish- Swedish producer Jack S. kochak. The program had to be discontinued after the Swedish Parliament had adopted the "Pirate Radio documents" against unlicensed stations.

Radio Nord broadcast on medium wave news, sports, music and advertising. The broadcasts were in the evening, at night because of the increased range of the central shaft, to be heard in large parts of the country.

The first commercial radio station was Radio Syd, which was on air from 1958 and sent in southern Sweden on FM.
