Radio Rebel - Unmistakable ( Original title: Radio Rebel ) is an American Disney Channel Original Movie of the year 2012, based on the novel Shrinking Violet by Danielle Joseph. Was written the film by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott, directed by Peter Howitt. The main role is played by Debby Ryan as Tara Adams.

Action

Tara Adams is a very shy 17 years old student at Lincoln Bay High School in Seattle. She has great fear of others to talk when she is brought to the school on the board, she brings out hardly a word. But in the privacy of her bedroom she becomes a DJ of her own podcast called "Radio Rebel ". In it she encourages her listeners to be bold and to realize itself. At the ball, Radio Rebel is nominated for Prom Queen but, after Tara reveals her identity. Then the director makes their plans come true and announces that Tara flies from the school. In order to protect her best friend, Audrey shouts "I'm Radio Rebel " (I'm Rebel Radio ) in which the other students agree with. Tara gives her crown as the Prom Queen of Stacy, on the grounds that she was always herself and did so deserving of this crown. Impressed also calls Stacy "I'm Radio Rebel ". Finally, Moreno are beaten and Tara can remain at the school. The film ends with the fact that Tara is asked by her swarm Gavin to a dance.

Production

Radio Rebel was filmed in August 2011 in Vancouver, Canada. The name of the main character in the book were changed for the film: " Teresa Adams " was shortened to " Tara Adams ". Also the name of the podcast was amended by Sweet T to Radio Rebel.

Debby Ryan recorded three songs for the film. Firstly, a cover version of the hit We Got the Beat of the Californian band Go-Go's in 1980, We Ended Right along with Chase Ryan and Chad Hively and A Wish Comes True Everyday.

The first broadcast took place on 17 February 2012 at the U.S. Disney Channel and reached 4.3 million viewers. In Germany, the film premiered on 9 June 2012 at the Disney Channel premiere. In the free-TV movie on August 18, 2013 were shown on RTL.
