Radiocarbon year
The radiocarbon years ( engl. = radiocarbon radiocarbon ) is a virtual measurement of time according to the radiocarbon dating ( in the Anglo- American usage called " radiocarbon method "). It would then correspond to a tropical year if the assumptions originally made were true exactly:
14C years are therefore only a different spelling for the measured isotope ratio and should be considered as chronological dimensionless. For calendar years they are means of calibration.
