Radoslav Kováč ( born November 27, 1979 in Olomouc) is a Czech football player who is under contract with FC Slovan Liberec.

Club career

About the youth teams of SK Sigma Olomouc came Kováč in the first Czech league, where he became a fixture for the second year in 1998/99. 2003 he moved to the top Czech club Sparta Prague. There he became Czech champion and came to some stakes in the Champions League before 2005, the leap took place abroad. He plays along with his compatriot Martin Jiránek at Spartak Moscow in the first Russian league. He plays variable in the defensive area as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.

Outside Russia, Kováč was known by a yellow card in the 2-2 draw against Spartak Moscow Lokomotiv Moscow on 19 July 2008. He brought a spilled onto the pitch spectators to the ground, so that the security forces were able to capture him. For this lack of sportsmanship, he was cautioned by the referee. The streaker had to be brought limping off.

End of January 2009 Kováč moved on loan to West Ham United in the English Premier League, in August 2009, he was a permanent obligation of West Ham.

For the 2011/12 season the Czech joined the reigning Swiss champions FC Basel, where he signed a contract until 2013. His debut in a competitive match for FCB he gave on July 16, 2011 at 1-1 in the opening championship match against BSC Young Boys in the Stade de Suisse Bern. At the end of the season Kováč won the league title and the Cup victory and the Double with Basel. His first goal in the Swiss football championship, he scored (for intermediate 1-0) in a 1-1 away draw at the Stade de Tourbillon in the Game against FC Sion on 4 August 2012.

National

In youth was Kováč for youth selection of the Czech Republic in action and was also in the team that won the 2002 U21 European Championship. In 2004 he entered his first appearance for the senior team, but he's there so far only substitutes. The role of the substitute 's in defense, he also played in the World Cup squad in the Czech Republic for the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany.
