Radosław Matusiak

Radosław Matusiak ( born January 1, 1982 in Łódź, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Career

Matusiak made ​​his breakthrough in 2005 with the club GKS Belchatow. There he joined the Season 2004/ 05 free and was able to establish from day one as a striker in the team. Since it turned out there as one of the best young Polish striker, the Italian club U.S. Palermo signed him in the winter break 2006/07. There, however, he only came to just under 100 minutes of playing time in three Serie A games. Already the next season moved Matusiak for Dutch club SC Heerenveen, where he has signed a three -year contract, including option of a further year. For the second half of the season 2007/ 08 Matusiak was loaned to the Polish first division club Wisła Kraków. After this season he will again return to SC Heerenveen.

Because of its overall 17 Goals and 4 Assists in the season 2005/ 06 and the Polish national team coach Leo Beenhakker was aware of him. On 6 September 2006 Matusiak his debut against Serbia in the jersey of the Polish national team, where he met for 1-0 Poland (final score: 1-1). Even with his second of Poland met Matusiak. In the qualifier against Belgium for Euro 2008, he scored the 1-0 winning goal for the Polish national team and also met in the return game against Serbia (2-2 ). He was thus instrumental in the qualification of Poland for the European Football Championship in 2008, but was not considered for this coach Leo Beenhakker.

On 29 August 2008 Radosław Matusiak ended his career prematurely. However, he signed 23 December 2008 again a contract with Widzew Łódź, which was then played in the 2nd Polish League. In seven games where he scored only one goal. For the season 2009/10 he moved to the Ekstraklasa Cracovia Kraków to where he briefly took back to the old eye for goal. In a total of 35 games for Cracovia Matusiak scored eight goals. On 18 January 2011 he signed a 2.5 year contract with the Greek first division club Asteras Tripolis. However, Matusiak could never show off in Greece and moved to the winter break of the 2011/2012 season after only 4 league games in which he scored a goal, back to Poland Widzew Łódź back. In August 2012, he was again end of his career known.

But two months later he completed a trial with German third division side FC Rot -Weiß Erfurt.

In total he scored so far in Poland in the Ekstraklasa in 127 games and 30 goals in the 2nd League in 112 games scoring 20 goals.
