Radwan Yasser

Yasser Radwan ( born April 22, 1972 in Ad Daqahliyya ) is a former Egyptian football player.

Association

Yasser moved in the summer of 1996 by Egyptian club Baladia Mahala in the Bundesliga for FC Hansa Rostock. He spent six years with the Hanseatic League, completed a total of 133 Bundesliga games and scored five goals. His debut in the Bundesliga he gave on Matchday fourth of the season 1996 / 97th Coach Frank Pagelsdorf joined him in the away match in Cologne in the 69th minute. His first goal he scored two game days later, in a 2-0 away win against Fortuna Dusseldorf. In the 1998/99 season Yasser had a safe starting place and came up with 33 Bundesliga appearances and was missing only one game due to suspension.

In the DFB-Pokal Yasser ran a total of seven times, scoring one goal. His greatest success was here the semi-finals in the season 1999/2000.

In the third round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1998 Yasser came to two international missions against Hungarian club Debreceni Vasutas SC. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg he lost the second leg in the Baltic Hansa stadium with 1:2 and was eliminated from the competition.

After six years in Rostock Yasser rejected in 2002 another contract offer from the club and went back to his home country to Al -Ahly Cairo. After two seasons playing for Al -Ahly, with whom he won the National Cup and Super Cup 2003, he played one season at his former club Baladia Mahala and then ended his career.

National

Yasser played a total of 58 times for the Egyptian national team. He scored 15 goals.

He participated in the African Championships in 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002. In 1998 he won the title with Egypt. He stood in all six games in the squad and in the group match against Zambia scored a goal to make it 4-0 late on. In the quarter finals against Côte d'Ivoire, he transformed additionally a penalty in the penalty shootout. Two years later, he came up with two preliminary round games and again scored one goal against Zambia. In the quarterfinals, he retired with the team against Tunisia. In 2002 he failed in Egypt again in the quarterfinals. Yasser denied doing all the games.
