Rafael Antonio Gutiérrez

Rafael Antonio Gutiérrez ( born August 15, 1826 in Ilobasco Departamento de Cabañas, El Salvador, † January 9, 1921 San Jacinto, San Salvador ( Departamento ), El Salvador) was 21 June 1894-13. November 1898 President of El Salvador.

Life

His mother was Marcela Gutierrez. He was married to Carlota Mejía, their children were: Rafael Antonio, Carlos, Carlota, Tulio, Marcela, Rosa, Bernardo and Mary. His daughter Marcela was married to a son of Fernando Figueroa.

He led the 44 Latifundisten which collapsed with the support of José María Reina Barrios, Carlos Ezeta. As of 1 March 1894, he had to show an election as legitimate. From a firearms he had a stigma on the right half of the head.

República Mayor de Centro América

Gutiérrez authorized Jacinto Castellano to a meeting on 20 June 1895 the authorized representative also Manuel Coronel Matus for Nicaragua and Honduras in Constantino Fiallos for Amapala where the Pacto de Amapala this closed, was the basis for the República Mayor de Centro América. 1898, prior to an election date, Gutiérrez was replaced by his best friend General Tomas Regalado as president in a bloodless coup. General Gutierrez died on 9 January 1921 at 22:00 clock in the Barrio San Jacinto, he had the coup not forgiven Regalado.
