Rafael Gil
Rafael Gil ( May 22nd, 1913 in Madrid, † September 10, 1986 ) was a Spanish film director.
Life
Rafael Gil wrote as a film journalist for various trade journals and daily newspapers and also published manuals on the film. About the production of short films and documentaries he arrived at the theater and debuted in 1941 as director of a feature film. Gil has worked in several genres and realized multiple film adaptations. During the Franco era, he was one of the most popular representatives of the Spanish film. In Germany, he was primarily known for films with a religious background.
