Rafael Márquez Lugo

Rafael Márquez Lugo ( born November 2, 1981 in Mexico City) is a Mexican football player at the position of the striker.

Life

Association

Rafael Márquez began his professional career at his "home club " Club Universidad Nacional, for which he División his debut in the Mexican Primera on 10 September 2000 with a home game against CF Monterrey ( 0-0) gave. His first goal he succeeded on 21 October 2001 at home against the CF La Piedad, whose 2-1 victory he had contributed the opening goal to make it 1-0 in the eleventh minute.

His longest stop was at the CA Monarcas Morelia, for which he in two stages ( first from early 2004 to mid 2007, and then for the seasons 2010/11 and 2011 /12) a total of 172 completed games in which he scored 58 goals. Currently ( 2012/ 13) Márquez Lugo at Club Deportivo Guadalajara under contract.

National

2004 belonged to Márquez Mexican U23 National Team, which represented Mexico in the Olympic football tournament in 2004.

Its premiere in the jersey of the Mexican national team Márquez completed on 27 October 2004 in a 2-1 (1-0 ) victory against Ecuador, as he played the entire first half.

In 2005 he was part of the contingent of Mexicans during staged in Germany Confederations Cup, but came only in the last game against hosts Germany at Mexico's third-place match is used. Immediately after going behind to 2:3 Márquez came in to replace Ramón Morales 81 minutes and played 39 minutes because the game went to 3:3 by a late goal by Jared Borgetti into overtime, which with a goal by Michael Ballack was won by the hosts 4-3.

His ( so far) the only international goal succeeded Márquez 25 January 2012 in a 3-1 victory against Venezuela when he came on in the 68th minute with the score at 0-1. Already in the 69th minute Carlos Salcido had provided for the compensation before Marquez in the 88th minute to make it 2-1 and Oribe Peralta scored with his goal in the 89th minute produced the final score.
