Ragheb Alama

Ragheb Subhi Alama (Arabic راغب صبحي علامة; born June 7, 1962 in Ghoubeiri ( غبيري ) in Beirut, Lebanon) since the early 1980s one of the most famous singers of the Arab world.

Rise

Recognized early Subhi Alama, his father, the potential and the talent of his son and took him to the radio. At 15, he came to the College of Music, where he surpassed all expectations in his study of the lute. He participated in an Art Studio part programs and won a gold medal for his achievements in folk music. His rise to fame began in 1982. He took part in the Arab and international festivals.

Achievements

Ragheb Alama has won several awards, including:

  • The key of the city of Detroit
  • The key of the city of Sydney
  • Platinum for the album Albi A'she'aha
  • The Golden Lion of Egypt for Best Arab Singer 1998

He has produced 15 albums since the 1980s. The first successful album, that also meant his debut as an international star, Albi A'she'aha was. Since then he has published more albums that were successful internationally, such as Ya Hayaty, Habiby ya Nasi or tab Lend. In 1999, Foxy Brown, is an American rapper, inspired by him, and let incorporate parts of the song Ya Bouy in a special remix on his album Hood Scriptures.

Since 2000, Ragheb Alama published several chart hits and stepped among others, Andy Madadian, an Iranian singer, on. After a long absence, he finally published in 2004 the album Al Hob el- Kabir ( The Great Love), which has been internationally recognized as the largest previously known Arab success. The album has two single releases, Nasseny Eldonia ( Let me forget the world ) and Al Hob el- Kabir.

Ragheb is now spokesman of Samsung mobiles.
