Ragheb Harb

Raghib Harb (* 1952, † February 16, 1984, also known as the English spelling Ragheb Harb ) was a clergyman in the southern Lebanese village Jibshit and co-founder of the Islamic Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

Raghib Harb became known in the early 1980 's, when he was head cells of resistance fighters in the underground. In March 1983 he was arrested by Israel and taken to internment Ansar, but released after protests from his supporters. A year later, he was " shot in Israeli order " ( Tagesspiegel).
