Raghu Rai
Raghu Rai ( born December 18, 1942 in Jhang, a small town in British India) is working as a photographer since 1965.
Life
Raghu Rai was born in 1942 in Jhang, since 1966, worked for the newspaper The Statesman in New Delhi. In 1976 he finished his work for this newspaper, and worked as a freelancer. From 1982 to 1992 he worked for the magazine India Today as a photographic director. From 1990 to 1997 he was member of the jury of World Press Photo. Particularly well known he was through his photos of the Bhopalunglücks. Some of his posts are also represented in Paris at the Bibliothèque nationale. He is a member of the Magnum agency.
