Ragnar Josephson

Ragnar Josephson ( born March 8, 1891 in Stockholm, † March 27, 1966 ) was a Swedish art historian and writer.

Josephson was 1929-1957 Professor of Art History at the University of Lund and from 1948 to 1951 director of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. In 1960 its inclusion in the Svenska academies.

Josephson's interest was the genesis of the artwork, which is why he 1934 Archive of Decorative Arts ( Arkiv för decorative const) in Lund, today Skissernas museum, founded. 1931 Josephson founded the Scanian art museum at the University of Lund.
