Ragnarock City

Ragna Rock City is a 2001 erstveröffentlichtes in Japan manga album by Satoshi Urushihara, which represents an uncharacteristic for this literary genre mix of manga and artbook. All drawings are colored complex and the format is not the usual for manga paperback format, but Din A4. Ragna Rock City is recommended for ages 18.

In six so-called scenes, the story of young Rachel Shiori Guardian is told, the moves to her mother's death by Ragna Rock City.

Action

The young Rachel Shiori Guardian moves to her mother's death by Ragna Rock City, a city which is protected under huge domes from the devastating aftermath of a global natural disaster. Here blend magic and advanced technology, populated by mutants, cyborgs and normal people. Rachel is surprised to find that the residents of Ragna Rock City are more than frank: the women wear preferably topless, whether in leisure, sport or during work. Also, same-sex partnerships are lived.

After a certain period of acclimatization Rachel find their way around in the city, find girlfriends, and even an older classmate, to which she soon feels strongly attracted. At the same time they must learn to deal with their lineage, for she is a winged, a powerful mutant beings with fairy wings and enormous mental powers that unfolds in extreme stress situations.

The Japanese edition appeared in 2001 Gakken. In German the manga was published in 2004 by Carlsen Verlag. The translation is by Jürgen Seebeck.
