Rahlau

The Rahlau in Tonndorf ( Wilson Street )

The Rahlau is a creek in the city of Hamburg. It rises north of Hamburg - Tonndorf on the border with Rahlstedt and empties into Wandsbek in the Wandse.

Course

In the lower reaches the Rahlau was channeled parallel to the Wandse. From 2004 she has been there renatured by a group of artists and conservationists and later by the Wildlife Protection Society Germany ( NABU) and now serves as a fish ladder for the pent-up Wandse.

The Rahlau forms the border between Jenfeld and Tonndorf. It flows through or affect the following areas of Hamburg districts:

  • Rahlstedt
  • Jenfeld
  • Tonndorf
  • Wandsbek
