Raimo Ylipulli

Raimo Ylipulli ( born June 13, 1970 in Rovaniemi ) is a former Finnish ski jumper.

Ylipulli was recorded in early 1986 with only 16 years in the Finnish national team and played on February 16, 1986 his first World Cup competitions in ski flying in Vikersund. He finished jumping on the 14th Place.

His first event passed without notable success. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1991 in Val di Fiemme he could reach the 20th place of the 21 and on the large hill in the competition on the normal hill and won the team competition, together with Ari -Pekka Nikkola, Vesa Hakala and Risto Laakkonen the silver medal behind Austria.

When he could ski flying event at Kulm on 24 February 1991, he was the first to jump into the top 10, reaching at the end of the 5th Place. In the 1990/91 season he was able to repeatedly achieve top 10 rankings. Including his best individual result, a 3rd place on the large hill at the Štrbské Pleso on 30 March 1991. He finished the season in 15th place in the overall World Cup standings. However, he could no longer continue the success in subsequent seasons. Only in the team competition on March 28, 1992, Planica he could again reach the podium with third place together with Ari -Pekka Nikkola, Toni Nieminen and Laakkonen Risto.

At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, he reached on the large hill in the individual the 18th Place and in the team competition, together with Janne Ahonen, Jani Soininen and Janne Väätäinen the 5th Place.

After the Olympics, he completed four World Cup competitions and ended after jumping in the Canadian Thunder Bay on March 27, 1994 his active career Springer.
