Raimondo Vianello
Raimondo Vianello ( born May 7, 1922 in Rome, † April 15, 2010 in Milan ) was an Italian actor and television presenter, best known as a comedian and his wife Sandra Mondaini.
Life
Vianello grew up mostly in Pula, where his father served as Admiral of the Regia Marina, a maritime academy and spent the Second World War, first in Dalmatia, where his father was transferred. After briefly studying law, he was in 1945 a member of the Italian Social Republic, for which he was allied prisoners of war and was imprisoned at Campo di Coltano.
After his release, he led, together with his brother Roberto, the Centro Nazionale Sportivo Fiamma, for which he was also actively and played football in 1946 for U.S. Palermo in Serie B and in Terza Categoria for SaMo. He also took the first steps as an actor and appeared in Oreste Bian Colis Cantachiaro No. 2 for the first time in the film. In the 1950s he starred in musical revues and comedies on the stage; next he intensified his film appearances as a character actor, often alongside Totò, and found great success on television for which he since 1954 the satirical show Un due tre moderated with Ugo Tognazzi. In 1959 she was deposed after a sketch about the then President Giovanni Gronchi. Thereupon Vianello focused on the cinema and was until 1968 in nearly seventy films, mostly to see comedies. At the beginning of the 1970s he was involved in over ten screenplays.
In 1958 he met Sandra Mondaini, whom he married four years later; many programs of television, first at the RAI, and later with Canale 5, the pair played together, especially with the early 1970s and until their last show Croceria Vianello in 2008 as Attentati a noi due, Sandra e Raimondo show and the Casa Vianello sitcom that aired from 1988 to 2007. In addition moderated Vianello quiz shows such as Zig zag, Il gioco dei 9 and their ability to press. Even as a football expert, he was asked. In 1998 he presented the Sanremo Festival.
On 26 June 1996 Vianello was named Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
