Raimund Hedl

Raimund Hedl ( born August 31, 1974 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian football goalkeeper. He is the Austrian Bundesliga SK Rapid Vienna goalkeeper coach under contract.

Career

Raimund Hedl played until 2011 when Austrian club SK Rapid Wien, where he mainly acted as a substitute goalkeeper Helge Payer behind and from the season 2010/11 the number 1 in Gate of Vienna became. Hedl was among other things, replacing Michael Konsel at the Green-Whites. His debut in the Austrian Bundesliga was Raimund Hedl in the game season 1996/ 97 for Rapid Wien. After he had left the club in the years 2001 to 2005 and played in the meantime at LASK Linz and SV Mattersburg, he returned in 2005 back to the Austrian record holder.

End of February 2006, he suffered a kneecap dislocation and fell for the remainder of the season 2006/ 07 from.

After the failure Payers before the European Football Championship 2008, he was at the beginning of the 2008/ 09 goalkeeper again, this time behind the German Georg Koch. This was injured and so Hedl played seven championship matches, but lost his place in the team competition at the younger Andreas Lukse. Since 2010 he is the number one at Rapid.

On 16 May 2011 Peter Schöttel was presented as the new Rapid head coach. Raimund Hedl ended June 1, 2011 his career as a goalkeeper, and was goalie coach at SK Rapid Wien.
