Rainer Baumann (footballer)

Rainer "tube" Baumann ( born January 21, 1930 in Altenburg ) was soccer player in the GDR and was twice the national football team of the GDR.

Rainer Baumann lived up to his 21 years in the East Thuringian town of Altenburg. There, the club Eintracht 08 Altenburg had in the period before the Second World War, the most successful football team. At the age of ten years, Baumann began playing organized football here. Forward Leipzig / Vorwärts Berlin

During the football season 1951/52, Baumann moved to the current DDR football champions Chemie Leipzig.
