Ralph Burkei

Ralph Burkei (* December 15, 1956 in Munich, † November 26, 2008 in Mumbai, India ) was a German media entrepreneur, football official and a local politician of the CSU.

Life

Burkei was a partner and program director of the media company CAMP TV, which produced among other things, the Locals window Bayern Journal Sat.1 and RTL. In 2004, accused the son of civil engineer August Burkei to have over the ideal belonging to him until the end of 2003 company West Net AG to a person from the milieu of so-called corporate undertaker. Immediately after the acquisition of the entire board was moved to France and was no longer reach for the creditors. Six-figure debt losses were the result. 2005 came Burkei and C.A.M.P. TV because of surreptitious advertising on German television in the headlines, what remained unopposed by the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting.

From 2000 to 2004 he was treasurer of the CSU Regional Chapter Munich.

In the years 1998/1999 he was president of the regional league team VfB Leipzig. Since May 2002, he sat on the board of the TSV 1860 München. Between March 2006 and March 2007, he was Vice President and Treasurer of the second division.

The attacks in Mumbai Burkei stayed on as a tourist in hotel Taj Mahal. There he tried to escape over the wall and was seriously injured in a fall on the porch. He died on the way to hospital. His girlfriend survived injured.
