Jagadguru Rambhadracharya ( Sanskrit: जगद्गुरुरामभद्राचार्यः Jagadguru Rāmabhadrācārya, pronunciation: [ ɟəɡəd̪ɡuru rɑ ː məb ʱ əd̪rɑ ː cɑ ː rjə ], real name Giridhar Mishra, born January 14, 1950 in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India ) is an Indian scholar, educator, composer, orator, philosopher and Hindu religious leader based in Chitrakúta, Uttar Pradesh.

Life

Rambhadracharya lost his eyesight at the age of two months and has been blind. He has never used Braille or any other aid. He speaks 22 languages ​​and seals and composed in Sanskrit, Hindi, Awadhi, Maithili and several other languages.

Work and religious position

He is since 1988 one of the four established Jagadguru Ramanandacharyas and leader of the Ramanandi Order ( Ramanandi Sampradaya ), which (by 1400-1476 ) leads back to the Holy Ramananda and one of the largest Orthodox Order of Hindu Vaishnavism. ,

Among the more than 80 works that he authored, four great epic poems, two in Sanskrit and two in Hindi, as well as a Hindi commentary on Ramacaritmanas, a Sanskrit prose commentary on the Astadhyayi, the eight books of grammatical rules of the grammarian Panini, and Sanskrit Comments Prasthanatrayi fonts, the three main Hindu works Brahma Sutra, Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads.
