Ramón Carrizales

Ramón Alonso Carrizales Rengifo ( born November 8, 1952 in Zaraza, Guárico ) is a Venezuelan politician and served from 2008 to 2010 Vice- President of Venezuela under Hugo Chávez.

Carrizales, a former colonel in the national armed forces and a graduate of the Academia Militar Venezolana, has held various government positions since 2000 year. First, he led the Fundación Fondo Nacional de Transporte Urbano ( Fontur ).
