Ramtane Lamamra

Lamamra attended the National School of Administration ( Diplomatic Section). He was Algerian ambassador to Portugal, the USA, Austria, Ethiopia, and Djibouti in. He served as Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency and UNIDO. He was Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations in New York, in the Economic Commission for Africa ( ECA) and the Organization of African Unity ( OAU) in Addis Ababa. From 1 August 2005 to July 7, 2007 he was State Secretary in the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lamamra is married and has one child.
