Ran Danker

Ran Danker (hey: רן דנקר ) actually Khalil Danker (born 7 January 1984) is an Israeli actor, singer and model. He has won several awards, including the Gold Screen Award for Best Actor for his role in the telenovela hashir Shelanu (hey: השיר שלנו, Our song ).

Biography

Danker was born in Virginia USA, the son of Israeli actor Eli Danker. When he was 2 years old he moved with his mother to Israel, where he grew up in the area of Tel Aviv. At school, he moved with his mother to Netanya. Between university and military time Danker played different roles in TV commercials, so for Channel 10, for the Bank Leumi and for Cellcom Israel. As a schoolboy, he also worked as a supplier for Domino 's Pizza in Netanya.

Career

He starred in the musical The Sound of Music in Tel Aviv and later Haifa. In the years 2004 and 2005 Danker took part in the Festigal - an annual Chanukkah Song Festival - part. He also worked as a model for Diadora. In The Sound of Music Danker played the German postman Rolf, who fell in love with Liesl. Danker sang several songs, including the song Ani Esh (he: אני אש, " I am fire" ). From 2004 to 2007 he played the lead role in the telenovela hashir Shelanu (hey: השיר שלנו, Our song ) together with Tayeb luck in the future. In 2008, he starred in the movie Restless. In 2009, he starred in the Israeli drama Eyes Wide Open (he: עיניים פקוחות, " Eyes Wide Open") the gay 19 year old Yeshiva student Ezri, the feelings for Aaron ( Zohar Strauss) - a married Orthodox Jews - has developed.

Awards and honors

December 2005 won the gold Danker Screen Award for Best Actor for his role in the telenovela hashir Shelanu (hey: השיר שלנו, Our song ). January 2006, he was awarded the Kids Channel Award for Best Actor. Readers of Pnai Plus TV digest distinguished him as an actor of the year 2006 and 2007 as the most eligible bachelor of the year.
