Randy Castillo

Randy Castillo ( born December 18, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico; † 26 March 2002 Complete name Randolpho Francisco Castillo ) was an American drummer.

Career

First, Randy learned trumpet and played in his father's band, the Los Aguilas (Spanish for the eagle) was called. At 14, he switched to the drums since he was a big fan of Charlie Watts. His first bands were The Shelton, The Tabbs, Doc Edge, The Wumblies and The Purple Blues, but which differed from his later bands far. At a concert he was discovered by Lita Ford and played with her a few concerts. In 1986 he came to Ozzy Osbourne, what was his biggest station. After several breaks, 1995 was finally concluded. His last known stop was the American cult rock band Mötley Crüe, in a year he replaced Tommy Lee. However, in his cancer was discovered, and he died, as did his Mexican father, at the age of 51 years. At his funeral, the former Guns N ' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Matt Sorum formed a project, which later became the band Velvet Revolver.
