Randy Hansen

Randy Hansen ( born December 8, 1954 in Seattle, Washington ) is an American musician.

Hansen is known for his interpretations of Jimi Hendrix's music. The guitarist played in the early 1980s, inter alia, with the original musicians from the Jimi Hendrix Experience ( until the death of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell ) and Buddy Miles, the drummer died in 2008 from Hendrix's Band of Gypsys.

His sounds and riffs fascinated Francis Ford Coppola so much that he used it as the soundtrack for his War epic Apocalypse Now.

Hansen's line-up is - if it occurs in Europe - from Ufo Walter (formerly temporarily Horst Stachelhaus ) on bass, who is also known as a virtuoso solo artist worldwide, and Manni von Bohr on drums. With appearances in the U.S., the occupation also vary.

Especially in Germany and Europe Hansen has many fans. His shows at clubs and festivals are regularly sold out. Hansen has a strong stage presence and fascinated the audience by saying, like Jimi Hendrix, with his teeth and behind his back playing the guitar and the audience by stage diving involving.
