Ranko Despotović

Ranko Despotović ( Serbian Cyrillic Ранко Деспотовић, born January 21, 1983 in Loznica ) is a Serbian footballer who plays for Urawa Red Diamonds in the Japanese J. League Division 1 since 2011.

Career

In the season 2006/ 07 he was in the service of Vojvodina Novi Sad, top scorer in the Serbian Super League with 17 goals. In the winter of 2008 he was transferred for a transfer fee of 1.2 million euros to the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest. Half a year later he was the wish of players from the former team leader of the Serbian national team, Javier Clemente, and has been committed in July 2008 for 1.7 million euros for Real Murcia. After a year, he was loaned to UD Salamanca. In the 2010/11 season he played for FC Girona in Segunda División, scoring 18 goals in 34 games.
