Rankovce Municipality

The Opština Rankovce ( Macedonian Ранковце ) is one of the 84 Opštini in Macedonia. It lies in the north of the country between Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka.

To Opština include the main town and the villages Rankovce Baratlija, German, Ginovci, Gulinci, Krivi Kamen, Ljubinci, Milutince, Odreno, Opila, Otošnica, P'klište, Petr Alica, Psača, Radibuš, Stanča, Vetunica and Vržogrnci. Most of these villages have each about 200 inhabitants. While the main town, located on the street 871, some of the members of the community villages are difficult to reach, as there are no paved roads. The village is located about 1300 m German. Population

Since attract many young residents in the cities, especially from the remote villages, the population decline ( 1994: 4347 inhabitants; 2002. 4144 Ew. ) And there is a high proportion of elderly residents. The majority of the population are Macedonians, around 1.4 % are Roma.
