Ranuccio I Farnese, Duke of Parma

Ranuccio I Farnese (* March 28, 1569, † March 5, 1622 ) was the son of the Spanish military leader Alessandro Farnese, Duke of Parma and Piacenza. With his father's death on December 3, 1592, he inherited his duchies.

Ranuccio Farnese was since May 7, 1600 with Margherita Aldobrandini ( * before 1585; † August 9, 1646 ), the daughter Gianfrancesco Aldobrandini married. He had with her nine children, five of whom grew to adulthood:
