Raoul Kraushaar

Raoul Kraushaar ( born August 20, 1908 in Paris, France, † 13 October 2001 in Pompano Beach, Florida) was an American composer.

Biography

Raoul Kraushaar was the son of an orchestra musician. As a stowaway, he emigrated in 1926 by ship to the United States a. At Columbia University Kraushaar studied with Hugo Riesenfeld music and then moved to California to establish himself in the entertainment industry. From the late 1930s he worked regularly in film and has established itself as a film composer for B-movies. Because of its large music library Kraushaar contributed frequently to music projects in where he was not employed as a real musician. He comes during his 35-year film career from 1937 to 1972 to over 220 film credits.

After his retirement from the music business, he lived with his wife in Florida, where he died at his home on 13 October 2001 at the age of 93 years of natural causes. He left four daughters, one son, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
