The Rappbode is a right tributary of the southwestern Bode in the Harz in Saxony- Anhalt. In its lower reaches it is to Rappbode Dam, the largest dam in the Harz, dammed.

Course

The Rappbode just East of Federal Highway 4 near the hunter spot on the border of Lower Saxony, Saxony -Anhalt and Thuringia. Your source is located about 3 km southwest of Benneckenstein or south-east of Hohegeiß in 575 m above sea level. NN height. On the opposite side of the main road 4 arise from numerous source streams of Zorge. The Rappbode flows predominantly north-easterly direction through the towns Benneckenstein and Traut stone before it empties into the Rappbodevorsperre and shortly thereafter in the Rappbode reservoir. In the downstream dam Wendefurth then unites with the Bode.
