RASL

In RASL is an independently published comic book series. Written and drawn it is by Bone creator Jeff Smith. In March 2008, the first issue of the series was released. In the meantime (August 2009) there are five books and the sixth is announced for October.

Content

The story is about a young man who is initially only as RASL known. He has the ability to perform with the help of special equipment dimension jumps. He uses this opportunity to hire themselves out as an art thief. On one of his raids, he is confronted by a mysterious stranger who attacks him and henceforth pursued. At regular flashbacks, the reader learns more about the past RASLs and the origin of his equipment.

In an interview with Jeff Smith on A3UPodcast mentioned this, that this dimension jumps are in some way related to the state of mind RASLs. To jump to the protagonist must be very instinctive: Drinking, games of chance and another to return to his own dimension, he must, however, very meditative, almost like a Zen Buddhist, behave.
