Rasoul Khatibi

Rasoul Khatibi ( born September 22, 1978 in Tabriz in Persian رسول خطیبی ) is an Iranian football player. He plays in the Iranian national football team and Sepahan Isfahan as a striker.

He began his career at Terkator Sazi. After good performances he was bound by Pas Tehran. In 1999 and 2000 he played with Mehdi Mahdavikia and Wahid Haschemian at Hamburger SV. Unlike his compatriots, however, he could not assert themselves and came in only a few Bundesliga games for use. He soon returned to Iran and played back at Esteghlal Tehran. Later he moved to Sepahan Isfahan in 2003 Iranian masters.

For the national Khatibi first played on 15 February 1999. Due to the many variations in shape but he only came regularly from 2005 are used. So far he has played 12 international matches and scored a goal here (as of 1 June 2006). He was in the squad for the World Cup 2006.
