Ratangarh is a village in the district of Datia, in Madhya Pradesh, India. The place is located right in Tehsil Savedha the river Sindh.

Location

The village is situated about 60 km from the provincial town of Datia removed and 175 km of the southern Madikheda dam in Shivpuri district.

History

Ratangarh is known for his two Hindu temples and Mandula Ratangarh Mata Devi. The Ratangarh Mata temple is one of the famous tourist destinations of the followers of the Hindu Durga faith in the province of Datia. In Mandula Devi temple is held annually in October, the multi-day Hindu festival Dussehra instead.

On the morning of October 13, 2013 at least 60 people died at the conclusion of the multi-day religious festival Dussehra before Mandula Devi Temple. In the solid in the last days 500,000 people had gathered.
