Ratomir Dujković

Ratomir Dujković ( born February 24, 1946 in Borovo, Yugoslavia ) is a football coach and former goalkeeper of Serbian nationality. He currently coaches the Chinese Olympic team.

Goalkeeper career

He began his career as a goalkeeper in Osijek close to his home town. Because of its excellent performance, the leadership of Red Star Belgrade, the leading Yugoslav Football Association was soon noticed him, which brought him to the capital club. From the late 1960s until his departure in 1974, he was able to celebrate with Red Star Yugoslav four league titles and a place in the semi-finals of the European Cup of Champions. During his time in Belgrade he also played four times for the national team of Yugoslavia with a total of only one goal conceded. In 1974, he then felt for three seasons at Real Oviedo in Spain. 1977 until his retirement in late 1982 played at the smaller club FK Zemun Belgrade.

Coaching career

Remained even after his playing career at FK Zemun which, first as co- later as head coach until he joined the coaching staff in 1986 in Red Star, where he was able to achieve as an assistant coach in 1991 the European Cup of Champions. 1992/93 Dujković was coach of Fifa Association for the first time; he led the Venezuelan national team through qualifying for the Football World Cup 1994 in the United States, but was released with only one win from eight games. After working in 1995 as a youth coach of Yugoslavia and 1996 as coach of the Myanmar National Team, he coached two clubs in succession in Venezuela, where with Atlético Zulia 1998, the championship succeeded.

His next stop was Rwanda, whose selection it led to qualification for the African Cup of Nations 2004.

As of December 2004, he was finally coach of Ghana, which could for the first time ever qualify for a World Cup under his leadership. On 16 July 2006 he announced that he zurückträte from his post due to health problems.

In October of the same year he accepted an offer from China to train the local team to prepare for the Olympic Games in their own country.
