Rätzsee

The Rätzsee located in the Mecklenburg Lake District southeast of Mirow and southwest of Neustrelitz in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, near the border with Brandenburg. It lies completely within the city limits Mirow. It is 5.5 km long and up to 750 meters wide.

There is a drain on the eastern Gobenowsee on the Drosedower Bek, leaving the lake in the northeast and flows in a southerly direction. In the south, the Rätzsee coming to the Oberbek flows from the Vilzsee. On marshy north shore a trench connecting the waters with the Zirtowsee.

The banks are almost completely forested and mostly passed with reeds. In the northeast and southwest are tent sites. The lake is closed for motorized boats.
