Rau'shee Warren

Rau'shee Warren ( born February 13, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio ) is an American boxer. He was world champion of amateurs, 2007 in Chicago flyweight.

Career

Rau'shee Warren, as he writes his name, comes from the Westwood neighborhood in Cincinnati. He began at the age of six years with the boxes, as his older brother Steven once took him with the training. He stuck with it and was assisted by a coach Mike Stafford to an exquisite boxer. He is a southpaw, for top American boxers is a rarity, and belongs to the boxing club Milville Golden Gloves on.

As a junior he was already one of the best U.S. junior boxers. He was American student champion in the weight class up to 42 kg with a demolition victory over Diego Maldonado 2001. In 2002 and 2003 he was U.S. junior champion in the light flyweight and 2003, he also took part in the World Championships for Cadets in Bucharest. In light flyweight, he won it in his first fight against the South Koreans Si Woo Myung - by termination in the first round, but retired in the next round by one point defeat ( 19:25 ) against Dewydan Pablo, a Ukrainian from.

In 2004 he started, only 17 years old at the USA Championship of seniors and finished in light flyweight after wins over Kenyon Lowe and Raytone Whitfield and a very narrow point defeat ( 13:15) in the final against Austreberto Juarez 2nd place. This title he won in 2006 and 2007. 2005 he started then at the World Championships in Mianyang / China flyweight. The World Championships were held in 2007 in Chicago. Rau'shee Warren started there again flyweight and won with a points victory ( 20:8 ) over Tulaschboy Danijorow, Uzbekistan, a demolition victory in the third round of Braulio Avila from Mexico and point victories over Violito Payle from the Philippines ( 25: 11), Georgi Balakschin, Russia, ( 23:13 ), Samir Mammadow, Azerbaijan ( 26:13 ) and the World Champion from 2003 Somjit Jongjohor from Thailand ( 13:9 ) deserved the world title.

Rau'shee Warren was also at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing flyweight at the start. In the U.S. Olympic excretion he won the final battle over Qa'id Muhammad by termination in the 2nd round. In the games he prepares in the power center of the U.S. boxers in Colorado Springs along with his teammates, especially with Luis Yanez and Raynell Williams before.
