Rauenstein Castle

Castle Rauenstein is a castle in the district Rauenstein the city Pockau - Lengefeld (Erzgebirge). The plant served to monitor the Floeha junction along the route from Freiberg to Annaberg.

History

The first mention of the castle took place in 1323, due to archaeological studies, a Erstbebauung is already being adopted in 1200. The first lords of Rauenstein were the Schellenberger.
