Raúl Albiol (2009)
Raúl Albiol Tortajada ( born September 4, 1985 in Valencia ) is a Spanish football player. The center-back plays in the Italian first division club SSC Napoli.
Career
Raúl Albiol started at the youth of Valencia. In the 2004/05 season Albiol was awarded for the team FC Getafe. There he came in 17 games for, scoring on 13 March 2005, a goal against Real Madrid.
He then went back to Valencia, where he made his league debut for the club on 27 August 2005. His first league goal as Valencia player was on 18 December 2005 against Deportivo Alavés. Since the 2005/06 season Albiol regulars was at Valencia. In 2008, he won the Spanish Cup with Valencia.
In summer 2009, Albiol joined Real Madrid. In the 2009/10 season he owned with 33 league inserts a regular place in the center of defense of the Royal. With the commitment of Ricardo Carvalho Albiol lost in the 2010/11 season this starting place, but came to a further 20 league games. In the season 2011/12 he was at winning the Spanish Championship only a reserve player with 10 inserts.
For the 2013/14 season Albiol joined for eleven million euros for SSC Napoli in Serie A. He signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2017. Unlike still at Real Madrid, Raul Albiol in Naples is an undisputed player.
National
On October 13, 2007 Albiol came in a 3-1 away win over Denmark for the first time in the Spanish national football team to use and played through. In 2008 he won Spain the title at the European Football Championship. Even as Spain two and four years later won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012, Albiol was part of the squad, however, remained both times in the tournament without use.
Family
His brother Miguel is also football player and currently stands at Real Murcia under contract.
Albiol is married, has two daughters and a son.
