Raúl Lara

Raúl Lara ( born February 28, 1973 in Mexico City) is a former Mexican football player who acted mostly as a defensive midfielder.

Life

Association

Lara began his professional career with his hometown club América, in which he more than twelve years of long standing between 1990 and the end of 2002 under contract and with whom he just in time before his departure to the former Branch Team San Luis won the Mexican championship. After another Erstligastation at Puebla FC in the season 2003/ 04 he made his career in the 2004/05 season end with the playing in the second division Lobos de la BPRD.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team gave Lara on 11 January 1996 in a 5-0 win over the selection of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. His last international match, he completed on 16 July 2000, when Panama was defeated 1-0.

Lara looked at the Summer Olympic Tournament in 1996 as well with as the football World Cup in 1998, when he came in games against South Korea ( 3-1 ), Belgium ( 2-2) and Germany (1:2 ) are used.
