Ravel is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 14,515 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is located in the north of Belgium, bordering the Netherlands. Ravel comprises the main town and the other two districts Poppel and Weelde.

Turnhout is located six kilometers south of the capital, the Dutch city of Eindhoven 34 km east, 44 km west-southwest of Antwerp and Brussels, about 72 kilometers south west (all figures in a straight line ).
