Ray C. Osborne

Claiborne Raymond "Ray" Osborne ( born September 7, 1933, Winston- Salem, North Carolina; † March 3, 2011 in Boca Raton, Florida ) was an American politician. Between 1969 and 1971 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Florida.

Career

About the youth and education of Ray Osborne nothing is handed down. After a subsequent study of law and qualifying as a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1969 and 1971 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Florida and representatives of the Governor on the side of Claude Roy Kirk. This office has been newly introduced at that time to reform the constitution again. In 1888 it was abolished by a previous constitutional reform. The Lieutenant Governor had until 1888 under the old constitution also chairs the Senate from Florida. Under the 1968 constitution this office exerted by a state senator.

After the end of his term as Lieutenant Governor Ray Osborne again practiced as a lawyer. He died on March 3, 2011 in Boca Raton.
