Ray DiLauro

Raymond DiLauro ( born July 13, 1979 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania) is an Italian- American professional ice hockey player who is since December 2011 the Trenton Titans in the ECHL under contract.

Career

He began his junior career with 19 years at St. Lawrence University, with the 2000 and 2001 he won the championship of the ECAC Hockey. After his final college season in the game year 2001/ 02, he signed a so-called amateur try-out contract and completed the last games of the season with the Reading Royals in the East Coast Hockey League. From there it went to the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League.

About the stations Binghamton Senators, Manchester Monarchs, Columbus Cottonmouths, Wheeling Nailers and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins moved DiLauro, who was elected in the 2004/05 season at the best defender of the ECHL to the Cleveland Barons, the farm team of the San Jose Sharks. There he stood last year playing in 49 games on the ice. Its yield of five goals and 24 points was the third-best defense in a team of the Barons and he also completed five games in Dress of the ECHL clubs Fresno Falcons.

The defender was drafted in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 by the Atlanta Thrashers in the ninth round at 246th place. For the season 2006/ 07 he signed a contract with the Krefeld Penguins of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. After a year in the Rhineland, he moved within the league to the foxes Duisburg, where he also signed a one-year contract.

This was followed by engagements with the EHC Black Wings Linz and HC Bolzano before DiLauro returned to the United States in September 2010. For the 2010/11 season he signed a contract with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League. After a year he moved to the 2011/12 season with the Nippon Paper Cranes of the Asia League Ice Hockey. In December 2011, the defender of the Trenton Titans of the ECHL has been committed.
