Ray Macias
Raymond " Ray" Macias ( born September 18, 1986 in Long Beach, California) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the Braehead Clan in the Elite Ice Hockey League since 2013.
Career
Ray Macias began his career as a hockey player with the Kamloops Blazers, for by 2007 he was active from 2002 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League. In 2004 he was elected to the All- Rookie Team of the Canadian Hockey League, the umbrella organization of the Canadian junior leagues. He was also in the 2006/07 season in the first All-Star team in the Western Conference of the Western Hockey League selected. During his junior time the defender in the NHL Entry Draft was in the fourth round as a total of 124 players selected by the Colorado Avalanche in 2005. For the 2007 /08 season he played regularly for their farm team Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League.
In his first two seasons with the franchise of the Avalanche, he also came to a total of 19 appearances for the Johnstown Chiefs in the ECHL. In the 2008 /09 season of American made his debut for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League, where he gave an assist in six games. In the season 2010/11 he played another two NHL games for the Avalanche.
In June 2012, the American was taken by the SERC Wild Wings from the 2nd hockey league under contract.
