Ray Ozzie

Ray Ozzie ( Ozzie Raymond ) ( born November 20, 1955) is an American programmer and manager. He became known especially through the development of the first version of Lotus Notes.

In 1984 he founded the software company Iris Associates, which was initially later acquired by Lotus Development and IBM. After leaving IBM, he founded Groove Networks in 1997. The company was bought by Microsoft in 2005. To June 2006, Ozzie was one of Chief Technical Officer at Microsoft three. After the withdrawal of Bill Gates, he took over his role as Director of Development ( " Chief Software Architect "). On 18 October 2010, Microsoft announced that Ozzie will leave the company after a transition period. His official last day of work at Microsoft was December 30, 2010 ..
